From pharmaceutical refrigerators for vaccines and medicines to laboratory freezers and ultra-low freezers down to −86 °C, POL-EKO covers the full temperature range for samples and temperature-sensitive products. APICAL helps you match the choice to application, capacity and validation requirements.
Cooling equipment for laboratories and pharmaciesTemperature is not a setting, it is a quality requirement. The right unit, monitoring and documented validation together protect samples, medicines and vaccines.
POL-EKO does not offer a combined household-style fridge-freezer: each chamber is designed for its own temperature range, which matters for stability and uniformity.
Medicines and vaccines (typically +2…+8 °C), solid or glass door, microprocessor controller.
0…+15 °CSamples and reagents in 12 single-chamber models from 74 to 1577 litres, Smart and Smart PRO controllers.
−25 / −40…0 °CZLN 85, ZLN-T and ZLW-T for long-term storage, plasma and pre-freezing.
−86…−50 °CVIP insulation, three capacities for biological material and vaccines requiring ultra-low temperatures.
0…+15 °C · ATEXFor safe storage of chemical samples in zones with a possible explosive atmosphere (Zone 2).
Power backupBattery systems providing 4 to 30 hours of refrigerator and freezer operation during a power outage.
Multi-chamberDouble and triple-chamber units, combining CHL, ST thermostatic cabinets and ZLN 85 freezers.
Transport · +20…−22 °CPortable CFX5 compressor coolers from 25 to 55 litres, 12/24 V DC and 100–240 V AC.
For medicines, vaccines and light-sensitive preparations. Stainless steel interior, 0.1 °C setting resolution. Each capacity is available with a solid door and with a glass door (suffix A).

Single-chamber refrigerators with forced air circulation, Smart or Smart PRO controller and solid or glass door options. Available in C (comfort) and P (premium) versions; the Smart controller has a 4.3" display and LAN, while Smart PRO has a 7" display with LAN and Wi-Fi for monitoring through LabDesk software.

ZLN 85 and ZLN-T with natural convection, and ZLW-T with forced air circulation for better uniformity and faster cooling of the load.

Vacuum VIP insulation, natural convection and Smart or Smart PRO controllers. For biological material and products requiring ultra-low temperatures.

300 VIP and 500 VIP capacities are per manufacturer data; available versions and controllers are confirmed on enquiry.
CHL refrigerators for safe storage of samples that may create an explosive atmosphere, built to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, marking II 3/- G Ex h IIC T6 Gc/-. Zone classification is defined by the employer through risk assessment.

A dedicated battery backup system for refrigerators, thermostatic cabinets, cooled incubators and freezers during power outages. It helps maintain the cold chain of medicines and vaccines for outages of 4 to 30 hours. A classic computer UPS is not sufficient because the compressor draws a multiple of its rated current at start-up; POL-EKO units tolerate 300% overload for 20 s. Standard: inverter with charger, battery, braked casters, visual and audible signalling, type E (230 V) socket.

Double and triple-chamber CHL units and combinations with ST thermostatic cabinets and a ZLN 85 freezer in one housing. Multi-chamber units must be anchored to a wall.

Portable compressor coolers for moving samples, reagents and temperature-sensitive goods in the field and in a vehicle. They run on 12/24 V DC from a vehicle and 100–240 V AC, with VIP insulation and app-based temperature monitoring. They are intended for general use: if transport is part of a validated cold chain, temperature must be qualified and mapped separately under real conditions.

The unit is only the first step. For medicines, vaccines and temperature-sensitive samples it matters to prove that the cold chain stays within the specified limits, and that proof is built through mapping and qualification.
Storage, transport and dispensing without leaving the specified range, supported by alarms, data logging and a response to deviations. A refrigerator with a microprocessor controller and alarms is the foundation of the chain.
Measuring temperature at multiple points in an empty and a loaded chamber reveals the warmest and coldest spots, behaviour on door opening and power failure, and a suitable placement of sensors and shelves.
Installation, operational and performance qualification documents that the unit performs to user requirements under real conditions. The results are part of cold chain process validation.
Scope and execution depend on user requirements, internal procedures and applicable regulations. APICAL helps with planning, while measurements and documentation are carried out by qualified specialists.
POL-EKO offers Smart and Smart PRO controllers (LAN, USB, plus Wi-Fi on Smart PRO), independent temperature recorders with SMS notification, LabDesk software (including a CFR 21 Part 11 compliant version) and calibration in its own accredited measurement laboratory. Option availability is confirmed per model. The above are general guidelines; actual requirements are defined by applicable regulations (e.g. GDP/GMP) and your quality system.
Define the goods, temperature range, capacity and criticality of storage (URS).
Place the unit and verify connections, sensors, alarms and documentation.
Temperature mapping of the empty and loaded chamber, alarm tests, door opening and power failure tests.
Continuous recording and alarming, periodic calibration and requalification as planned.
Tell us what you store, the required temperature, capacity and validation requirements. The APICAL team can help you review suitable POL-EKO models.
