Laboratory water is not one-size-fits-all. Selection starts with the method, the required quality and the volume you need.

Water quality for your application

The right level of purity.

Wasserlab systems combine water treatment technologies, including filtration, reverse osmosis, ion exchange and electrodeionization. The right configuration depends on the feed water and laboratory process.

Wasserlab Ultramatic Plus ultrapure water system
01 / TYPE I

Ultrapure water for analytical methods

For applications requiring very low levels of dissolved impurities, such as HPLC, ICP-MS and TOC analysis. Ultramatic GR, Ultramatic Plus and Ultramatic Maxi systems produce Type I water from pre-treated water; available options depend on the model and method.

02 / TYPE II AND TYPE III

Purified water for everyday laboratory work

Type II water is used for preparing reagents, buffers and microbiological media, as well as general analysis. Osmotized Type III water is suitable for glassware washing and supplying selected laboratory equipment. The range includes Micromatic, Ecomatic, Autwomatic, Autwomatic RO and Autwomatic Plus. Wasserlab lists desktop models with production capacities from 3 to 40 L/h and 10, 30 or 50 L tanks, depending on the model.

Water quality, flow rate, tank capacity and optional features depend on the model, feed water and application. Final selection should be checked against the selected unit’s specifications and the process requirements.

From analysis to equipment washing

Water suited to the process.

Requirements differ for sample preparation, analytical methods and equipment supply. These examples help guide initial selection; the final specification should follow your method.

TYPE I · ULTRAPURE

Analytical and sensitive methods

HPLC, ICP-MS, TOC analysis, PCR and molecular biology, subject to the system configuration and method requirements.

TYPE II · PURIFIED

Preparation and general analysis

Reagents, buffers and microbiological media, as well as selected spectrophotometric and other laboratory applications.

TYPE III · OSMOTIZED

Washing and equipment supply

Laboratory glassware washing and the supply of autoclaves or washers, where permitted by the equipment manufacturer’s specifications.

The right system starts with the right questions
